Bring all required materials and supplies to their classes each day. 2. Be in your seats, quiet, and ready to work when the bell rings. 3. Follow directions the first time they are given. 4. Raise your hand to be recognized before speaking. 5 Students should not eat, drink, or chew gum in the classroom. 6. Dear Parents and Students,Seventh grade is a very important school year. We all need to work very hard to reach our academic goals. Take time to reflect, and put forth the effort needed to have a successful 2018-19. To help us reach our goals in math, students should be studying DAILY, on the following website: This is an excellent personalized page to help students in math and reading. You can accomplish anything when you set your mind on doing it!www.portage.k12.wi.us/ms/maptestvocabularypractice.cfm khanacademy.org
We are also focusing on the federal and state constitution this school year. Students should have their constitution books with them daily. Pages are assigned weekly. Students should be proactive in their own learning. I have asked that they create flashcards in order to assist them in studying. The federal constitution test will be given in January, and the illinois state exam in april. Even 10 minutes a day can help in memorizing all the important facts. please ask your child today where their index cards are, and study together!
Thank you in advance for your help this year. As we work together as a team, we can help all our students have a most successful school year! Ms. Touras
