James B. McPherson Elementary develops a nurturing community that fosters the social-emotional needs of international-minded learners through an inquiry-based process where all can succeed.

An IB World School

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Employment Opportunities

McPherson IB World School seeks part-time Lunch and Recess Monitors and Aftercare Monitors. $17/hour. Flexible hours. Positions can be staffed separately or together.

Back to School Carnival and Supply Drop-off

Join us for the Back to School Carnival and Supply Drop-off on Saturday, August 17, from 11 am to 3 pm! Enjoy games, food, and fun as we prepare for the new school year.

Kindergarten Meet and Greet

Kindergarten Parents: You are invited to a Meet and Greet with your child’s Kindergarten teacher and their new classmates! This event will occur on Thursday, August 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on the McPherson Playground.

School Supply Lists

It's that time of the year! Click here to access our 2024-2025 School Supply Lists. We ask that families place all supplies in a bag with your child's grade level and last name for collection at the beginning of the year festival. The tentative date for this year's festival is Saturday, August 17, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
