Primary Years Programme (PYP): Laying the Foundation for Lifelong Learning

The PYP, designed for students aged 3 to 12, forms the bedrock of our educational approach. We believe in nurturing curious, knowledgeable, and caring young learners. Our PYP curriculum emphasizes the development of the whole child, fostering academic excellence, as well as social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Our curriculum is centered around inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions, explore, and discover knowledge independently. This approach develops critical thinking skills and a genuine passion for learning.
PYP incorporates transdisciplinary themes that connect various subject areas. This approach helps students make meaningful connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them.
We instill in our students a sense of responsibility and a desire to make a positive impact. Through action and service initiatives, students learn to apply their knowledge to real-world situations, developing a sense of social responsibility.
McPherson IB World School promotes international mindedness by embracing diversity and fostering a global perspective through the Learner Profile characteristics. Our students gain an understanding and appreciation for different cultures, developing into empathetic and open-minded individuals.
